"Sunflowers II" by Natasa Vretenar

Beautiful weather continues - except the wind is stirring up allergies. Everyone in our family has either had a virus or allergies in the past month - needless to say it has been a bit hard on us. With hope that viruses and allergies will stay away from my family - here is another sunny and bright sunflower painting.

Volim slikati cvijece - pogotovo sad u proljece kad se sve razlistava i budi iz sna. U dvoristu imamo drvo badema i juce je procvjetalo. Izgleda predivno i podsjeca me na Japan i japanske prelijepe vrtove.

"Sunflower I" modern acrylic texture painting

8"X8" small acrylic very heavily textured sunflower painting.
From Natasa's Art

Vrijeme je prelijepo danas u Novom Meksiku. Pticice su se raspjevale i sunce mi je dalo inspiraciju da naslikam suncokrete. Nadam se da ce nas virusi zaobici i da ce cijela porodica biti konacno zdrava....

THe Black Beauty

Wow. WHat a week - I had a bug and combined with allergies (full blown season in ALbuquerque now) - it pinned me to bed. TOday is the first day since TUesday that I can actually function a bit. Here is another horse painting I did last year. IT is sold.

Modern red horse painting

From Natasa's Art

It has been a challenge to do simple every day things and my shoulder is slowly getting better. So no new paintings but here is a nice 24"X24" acrylic painting from Horses in Motion series.

"Motherhood"

From Natasa's Art

Here is another painting I did last year - I miss painting horses. When I get some more time I will paint them again soon.

Jedva cekam da imam malo vise vremena za slikanje i da opet naslikam koju sliku sa konjima.

"Carefree"

From Natasa's Art

I have not been able to paint this whole past week - i hurt my shoulder and cannot move my right arm. I have been practicing doing things with my left hand and arm - it is amazing how much can be done with it and how little I actually use my left arm on a daily basis.
This is an older painting of mine - i did a series of horses in motion in pastel as well as in acrylic.
THis painting is sold. Pastel on ampersand pastel board 16"X20" framed.

Polygons together

From Natasa's Art
THere are four identical circles here. Same polygon is inscribed in each circle. However, the polygon is triangulated in different ways. In each triangle we draw the biggest circle that can fit that touches all three sides of the triangle. The amazing result is that the sum of the diameters on the 4 sets of circles is the same! I am also playing with swirls again - becoming a real pro at this swirlism method of painting.

"Polygons II"

From Natasa's Art
In this series each painting has a circle and a polygon inside it. Polygon has the same shape in every painting. However, it is divided into different triangles. Each triangle has a circle inside positioned so it touches all three sides of the triangle. Depending on the triangle configuration each painting looks different and circle arrangement varies.
